Games Boycott

Objective:  To oppose games being played between British and Israeli teams.

UEFA and FIFA hold in total some 14 main tournaments for national and club teams, both for men and women and at senior and junior levels. Some are held annually, others every two or four years.  There is a good chance of a small number of these games being scheduled between British and Israeli teams in any given year with games held both in Britain and Israel.Israeli teams are not in the top flight.  However, they are often involved in qualifying rounds and mini tournaments  and sometimes make the Group rounds of major competitions.

It is our strategy to demonstrate at all home games in Britain.  For away games in Israel, to write to team managers calling on them to, as a minimum, move the game away from Israel as is allowed in the UEFA regulations; also, to write to team members.

We will also challenge pre-season friendlies being played with Israeli teams.  This happened twice in 2015:  Cardiff City played Kiryat Shmona in the Netherlands and Norwich City played Maccabi Haifa in Austria.  Control of such games lies totally with the clubs, not UEFA or FIFA, and we will endeavour to persuade clubs not to become involved.
