We call for removal of the 2013 UEFA U21 finals from Israel
The Israeli government violates international law and discriminates against Palestinian Arabs through its laws and actions. These actions include ethnic cleansing, restrictions on movement, and limited access to water, health services and education. Palestinian footballers suffer their share of this oppression. They are arbitrarily arrested and imprisoned without charge, cannot travel freely and cannot meet properly for games and training.
The United Nations has formally identified this Israeli system as Apartheid. Such institutionalised racism is unacceptable and is not found in any European country. Therefore, Israel does not merit the honour of holding a UEFA competition.
Please call on UEFA President Michel Platini to remove the 2013 finals from Israel by signing our petition, by emailing UEFA at info@UEFA.com or writing to UEFA, Route de Genève 46, Case Postale, CH-1260 Nyon 2, Switzerland. Then support your national organisations in their quest for justice for Palestinians.
